Creating Confident, Eye-Catching Smiles

Smiling woman in dental chairEvery day, our dentists are enhancing the smiles and lives of people just like you through advanced cosmetic dentistry. In a society like ours where the way your smile looks can make a tremendous difference, having a team you can trust to give you the dazzling teeth of your dreams is important. Our entire team of cosmetic dentists from Phoenix offer complete quality cosmetic options to create beautiful, bright smiles you’ll be proud of.

Using one or more of these approaches, our Phoenix dentists will create a personalized plan to beautify your teeth and boost your confidence.

Your makeover will begin with a thorough oral exam and consultation. During your exam, your cosmetic dentist will completely assess your needs and determine which service will help you the best. Then we'll explain your options and discuss the benefits of your proposed treatment. That will give you a chance to ask any questions you might have. Smile makeovers often require permanent changes to your smile. That is why our Phoenix cosmetic dentists want you to feel completely comfortable with your proposed plan before your treatment begins.

How Long Will My Cosmetic Treatment Take?

Closeup of healthy beautiful smileMany cosmetic dental services take two or more appointments to complete. However, in office teeth whitening with Zoom! only needs a single appointment to whiten teeth by as many as eight shades.  Cosmetic bonding also takes just one appointment to complete. How long your treatment will take will depend on the services you're having done. During your consultation, your cosmetic dentist can give you an estimate for how long your total treatment will take so you can plan your schedule accordingly.

At Smile Fitness Dental Center, we bring out the best in smiles! If you've struggled with self-confidence in the past because of how your teeth look, don't let yourself feel burdened any longer. Through the cosmetic dentistry services available at Smile Fitness Dental Center in Phoenix, you can experience a transformation that will influence how you think about yourself as well how others perceive you. Getting started begins with calling our office and scheduling that very first visit. It also begins with learning more about each of our services below:

Metal Free Restorations

Happy woman relaxed in dental chairWhile restorative services like crowns and bridges are traditionally considered necessary to repair damage, we can also use high quality, metal free restorations to enhance the appearance of smiles. At Smile Fitness Dental Center, we offer all ceramic dental crowns and other restorations as a cosmetic treatment option for those patients who want to ensure the flawless look and feel of their repaired smile. Additionally, metal free restorations are the best material for patients who suffer from metal allergies or sensitivities. Patients who choose metal free restorations should plan to visit our team at least two times. During the initial appointment, your tooth or teeth are prepared and bite impressions taken. We’ll design your restoration and send our plan and the impressions to the lab. To protect your prepared teeth, we place a temporary crown. Once we’ve received your natural looking and all ceramic crown, you’ll need to return to replace the temporary with a custom veneer.

Cosmetic dentistry ought to be something worth getting excited about, but a lot of the time, patients are too anxious about the cost of the procedure to really look forward to the procedure. We aim to change that by making the financial component of your dental care as stress-free as possible.

We will be sure to give you a complete estimate for what your dental care is going to cost you when we meet you in person. Until then, here’s some information that can help you budget for your upcoming aesthetic treatment.

What Cosmetic Dental Service is Right for Me?

One of the most important factors to determine what you’ll pay for dental care is the procedure that you choose. There are several at your disposal, each of which can produce incredible results.

If you’re on a little bit of a budget, you’ll be happy to learn that there are several relatively inexpensive aesthetic treatments available to you. Cosmetic bonding can be used to cover up all kinds of chips and cracks, while teeth whitening can be used to make your teeth up to eight shades whiter! Both of these procedures are fairly affordable and can do wonderful things for your teeth.

If you’re willing to pay more, veneers are another excellent option available to you. This treatment is on the expensive side, but can produce stunning results; you can completely change the color, shape, and alignment of your teeth within as little as two appointments.

There are also smile makeovers, which use a combination of treatments to get the smile that you’re looking for. This tends to be the most expensive option available to you, but allows you to basically pick exactly what you want your smile to look like.

If you want to know more about how you can budget for the smile of your dreams, we’ll be happy to give you personalized advice at your consultation.

It’s easy to be intimidated by the financial commitment involved in cosmetic dentistry, particularly because these procedure are rarely covered by insurance. It’s important to remember what you’re getting for your money. A beautiful smile can afford you incredible new self-esteem, which can allow you to be your best self in every area of your life. From projecting confidence at work to making a statement in you personal life, cosmetic dentistry is an investment that’s sure to pay off.

How to Make Cosmetic Dentistry Affordable

That said, we also want to make our treatments as affordable as possible for our patients, which is why we offer a variety of financial options to our patients. For one, we have a membership plan that can be an excellent substitute for insurance, affording you several complementary exams and treatments without a deductible or waiting period. This can make many of the preliminary procedures associated with cosmetic dentistry much more affordable.

We also accept financing through CareCredit, a firm that offer low-to-no interest loans to patients who qualify. This can allow you to split up the cost of your care across several months.

If you have questions about any of the financial options available to you, make an appointment and we’ll be happy to tell you more at a cosmetic consultation!

Cosmetic Dentistry FAQs

Dentist checking a woman’s smile after cosmetic dentistry in Phoenix, AZ After reading about the services listed above, you may be interested in using cosmetic dentistry to create the beautiful smile that you’ve always pictured for yourself. But before you agree to any cosmetic procedures, you should always take the time to make sure that you fully understand them first. Here are some answers to a few of the questions we often hear from patients who are interested in cosmetic dentistry. You can always call us directly if you can’t find the information you need on this page.

Does Cosmetic Dentistry Hurt?

Like with any other kind of dental treatment, we’ll put your comfort first while we’re enhancing the appearance of your teeth. Most cosmetic procedures, such as teeth whitening, are non-invasive and involve little to no pain. However, there are certain treatments that might call for a local anesthetic; for example, veneers require us to take a bit of enamel off your tooth, so it will be necessary to numb your mouth beforehand.

Patients who are nervous about having cosmetic dental work done may want to consider dental sedation. Not only can it reduce your body’s ability to register pain, but it can make it easier to stay relaxed during your appointment.

Is Cosmetic Dentistry Worth It?

Many people who have had cosmetic dental work done in the past will happily tell you that yes, cosmetic dentistry is indeed worth it in the long run. Having a dazzling smile can improve the way other people see you, and you’re likely to feel much more confident when you’re happy with the way that you look. With the right personalized cosmetic treatment, you may start to notice a significant improvement in various aspects of your daily life, including your career and your personal relationships.

How Long Does Cosmetic Dentistry Last?

Since there are so many different kinds of cosmetic treatments, there are a lot of variables that can affect the longevity of your new smile. Some procedures like teeth whitening and cosmetic bonding are relatively simple to perform but only last for a few years, meaning they may require the occasional touchup. On the other hand, more extensive treatments like veneers and dental crowns can last 10 years or longer in many cases. Of course, your ability to take proper care of your oral health plays a major role in determining how long the results of your cosmetic treatment last.

Is Cosmetic Dentistry Covered by Insurance?

Most of the time, dental insurance does not pay for cosmetic treatments, as the majority of providers don’t offer coverage for elective services. That said, if a cosmetic procedure can benefit your oral health in some way, your insurance company might make an exception. As an example, sometimes a veneer can be used to protect a damaged tooth, in which case some insurance plans might be willing to offer partial coverage. It’s always worth taking the time to discuss your specific plan with our team to see if there are any benefits you can take advantage of.
